The ALL NEW Grayton Beach Charters Website!

The new Grayton Beach Charters website

We are super excited about the new graytonbeachcharters.com website! It was really fun working through the design and coming up with something unique for our client Scott Provow. Scott is in real estate sales for 30A Resorts in Grayton Beach, but he is also a seasoned boat Captain. Scott flew fighter jets (awesome!) in the NAVY and was also a Delta Airline pilot. Needless to say he is a pretty interesting guy…and great to work with. Scott wanted a logo that resembled a Tailhooker patch (a tailhook is the shaft that catches when you land on a aircraft carrier). We designed his logo and customized it for him. We then moved on to the design of his website. We went through several different ideas, but the water with light shining down really felt right for this page. We also used fonts that are used in the military, giving it one more touch and personalization. We hope you like the new site. Give Scott a call the next time you are in the 30-A/Destin area for a great fishing trip with a great Captain!

Our Top Ten app list for your BlackBerry

I know what your thinking. “Why is a web-design company writing a blog about their favorite BlackBerry apps?” It’s simple. Before we are web-designers, we are a small business first. We really love our Apple stuff. REALLY REALLY love our Apple stuff. But for a phone that gets the job done quick and serves the true purpose of a business phone, BlackBerry wins hands down. The email. Ohhh, the email. No one does email like BlackBerry. If you are sending and receiving emails constantly, the touchscreen can become a bit annoying. Then, there is the deliberate click, click, click of the BlackBerry keyboard. It’s a dream to type on, and to be honest, not really all that great for anything but work. Your not playing Angry Birds on this device anytime soon. Here is a rundown of some great BB apps for small business. Continue reading

Liger’s Bakery’s new website is…yum

Now this was a delicious job. Every second that this site was being worked on was almost torture. The photo sessions were the most tempting. You have sweets ALL around you. The bakery smelled great and the staff is amazing to work with. Liger’s Bakery is a Montgomery mainstay. It has been around since I  was a kid.  It was a pleasure working for Liger’s. We had a great time building this site.

Check out their new website, and then go pay them a visit. It will be worth the trip, I promise.

Take a look at this great article about Liger’s Bakery.

p.s. it’s all about the mint cookie.

Our new ad for Montgomery Parents

Ad for Montgomery Parents

Is this a cute little guy or what? This half page ad will be running in the April Issue of Montgomery Parents Magazine.

So why the cute baby? Well, it just made sense. As always we brainstormed to come up with ideas for the ad. We went from “what we can do for your business” to “does your website mirror the hard work you put in your business?”. Then it hit us. This IS going in a parenting magazine after all. It just made sense. It’s all about being simple and relating with your audience. So, this is where we ended up.

We used a lot of white space around the main subject because this tends to pull people eyes right where you want them…to a cute lil guy hanging out on a laptop. It gets peoples attention, and then they find out about a great web designer in the process.

We really like this ad. It was really fun putting the pieces together for this one. It ended up being so stinking simple. We hope you like it.

Hello Montgomery!

Downtown Montgomery

Ok. Ok. We finally decided to start a company blog. We are super excited about sharing some great stuff with you. We will post social networking tutorials, tell you about our newest projects, show off some of our work, or just blabber a bit about what’s going on with us.

So…we just opened a new market. We are rockin’ the great city of Montgomery, Alabama now! We have so many great customers down in Seagrove Beach, FL that we decided to try our luck in a new spot. So here we are! We truly hope to build a great relationship with the city, it’s business owners, and most importantly, the people who live here.

Listen up for our new ad that will be on the radio in April (we’ll let you know which stations). And don’t forget to pick up the April issue of Montgomery Parents to see our new ad. See, we are already getting hooked into the community!

We look forward to baseball, hanging out downtown (AWESOME!), strolling around in the ASF park, and eating some great southern cooking.

So, when you decide you need a web designer, give us a call. We can’t wait to work with you! Thanks for having us Montgomery.
